You're going to have to be a lot more specific about all this.

    What OS do you have?

What version of dMC do you have? registered (or unexpired trial period) or not? Run dMC Configuration for this and, if latest version, you have a button to extract all the infromaiton to your clicpboard and you can post it here.

What type of file are you trying to convert from? File extension, bits, frequency, channels, bitrate - is it cbr/vbr/ab ? file duration, file size ; any foreign characters in the id tags it may have? Do you have the decodiong codec for that file type?

What type of file are you trying to convert to? what settings of bits, bitrate, which of cbr/vbr/abr are you picking ? frequency, channels, or whatever is appropriate for the codec (like quality). Do yo have the encoding codec for that file type?

Re: can't convert a complete audio file

      RobertKnox-
According to your User Profile, yuo are using dMC r11 with Power Pack v3 and dAP 2.
You would be best advised to upgrade to the latest version of dMC (r11.5). (I'd upgrade dAP to the current beta (r3 b6) but this is not likely to have anything to do with your problem).
The only other clue you give is is that only "parts" of the file(s) in question are being converted. This is not enough to give you any kind of sensible advice. So let me try to systematize things for you.

First, is this happening with just 1 file or with many or with all?
What format is (are) this (these) files in? (eg, CD, wave, mp3, Ogg vorbis, WMA).
If this is limited to a single or only a few files what format, bits setting, bitrate/quality setting, frequency and channels setting do the files in question have?
What format are you trying to convert these files to? At what setting?

When you say only "parts" of a file will convert, please explain what you mean.

Assuming this is confined to one or a few files, trying test converting any files in question. This is the same as a regular conversion except that where you would choose your output format (such as mp3, mp4, wma) select "Test Conversion (No Write)". Will the file(s) in question successfully test convert?

If they will, try converting the file(s) in question to standard (PCM, 16 bit, 2 channel, 44.1 kHz) wave. Does that go OK?
If that works, try converting from wave to your desired output setting.
If this chain of action does not help, please let us know the specifics of what you tried and try to respond to the questions that Christina and me have asked.

      Best wishes,
      Bill
