Hi, I've been using DMC with power pack to rip all 600 of my cds-so far so good. The program is stable and user friendly! I'm accumulating extra genre titles from freedb I guess- like Alt. Rock, AltRock, AlternRock, etc. How do I get rid of the ones I don't want. I searched the help file and forums and couldn't find it so that means it is probably something very simple that I am missing. Thanks, Paul

Re: DMC cd input edit genre dropdown box?
Open MMC.
Select one or more tracks (one will do).
Right-click and select Edit Tag.
Click on the button that says Delete A Genre.
Select the genre(s) you wish to delete (yes, you can select more than one).
Click on OK.
Exit.
The genre(s) selected will be gone from all tags within MMC. It does not appear to affect tags of files outside of MMC.
Best wishes,

Re: DMC cd input edit genre dropdown box?
I see that this won't really help you with the issue of the lengthy drop-down menu in dMC Audio CD Input (or with the choices available if you right-click on an audio file outside of MMC and select Edit Tag). Sorry about that.
I'm not sure the list can be edited or truncated. The easiest thing in either of these situations would be to simply enter Genre information manually (if Freedb doesn't issue a genre tag or if you disagree with the genre tag that is given) before you rip.
Best wishes,
