    Adaptive Normalization Question

I am converting my CD collection to MP3 with the Adaptive Volume Normalization option selected. Have noted that the message “Running Volume Normalization On (track name).” is displayed inconsistently following each ripping step. Is the function being executed without a message or is there a software problem in invoking the function?

By inconsistantly you mean it shows it for some tracks, but not others?

      Re: Adaptive Normalization Question

It sometimes displays the "Action: Adaptive Volume Normalization..." message for the first track on the CD; most of the time the messages sequence is from "Action: Ripping..." to "Action: Converting..." without any display of the Adaptive Volume Normalization message. Reselecting the function prior to converting a CD does not appear to have any affect on the dispaly of the message. I don't really care about the message displaying just so the volume normalization function is occuring. I do not have a waveform analyzer to determine if the function is working and do not have a good ear for the differences - am doing the conversion for someone else who not available to listen.

It will be doing so (normalize), it is just when ripping cds other messages take preference.
