    Speaker/sound ?

Hello again, maybe someone can give me an answer.

I recentley got a new tower and wxp, I kept my old monitor and the desk top
speakers. The are polk audio and connection from speaker to tower is an hp connecton with a subwoofer female plug. I do not get the sound volume that I use to have thru the speakers but if I plug my earphones in the woofer I have lots of volume.

I have checked all the sound spots I can find, have not been able to increase the speaker volume.

    Thanks in advance!!

    Re: Speaker/sound ?

Let me guess: The speakers don't have a power plug, right? The reason the volume is quieter is that the speakers are lowering the power of the signal to allow them to "drive" the speakers or make them work.

Is there a plug located elsewhere with an orange "loudspeaker" icon located somewhere? I remember that on a HP my family has, there is a separate "special" plug for their bundled speakers that supplies them with extra power.

I couldn't find an icon and there is no power plug. I will look further and if I find anything I will post back to you.

      Thanks!!
