?automatically skip files that have been converted

I have two music file directories, one lossless, the other in MP3 format to load to players.

I would like to keep them in sync. I had an older batch converter that would automatically skip files that were in the destination directory, so it only converted new files in the lossless directory to MP3.

Is that an option for the dbpoweramp converter?
If not, is it on the wish list?

    Thank!

If you have the Power Pack installed then you can do this using an option to reply "No to All" when asked if you want to overwrite existing files.

    See the following threads:
http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=9035 (posts 14 and forward), and
An update to flac (ok decoder was rewritten from scratch), to solve the IDTag crashing problem. Also .fla files are only decoded as an option (conflicts with Flash files). Download: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/dBpowerAMP-codec-flac.exe 538KB If you were having crashing problems with ID Tag writing, please post your

You may also want to try out using the multi-encoder utility codec available in the Beta section of the Forum. This would allow you to simultaneously convert a file both to your lossy and lossless formats at the same time.

    Best wishes,

I have the power pack installed, but still cannot find that option for skipping files. I found a "skip message" option at the end of conversion on the Powerpack page.

I looked through the help files, and it did not seem to be there either.

I must be missing something obvious, any pointers?

      Thanks!

Re: ?automatically skip files that have been converted

As you start your batch conversion you should receive a message indicating that a file already exists with that file name and asking whether you want to overwrite the existing file. This is where you should see the "No to All" option.

I have the same problem with 2023 version of dbpoweramp. I have already converted 8192 files. I am adding 200 files to the profile. I do not get a question asking if I want to overwrite files. Instead menu says "Overwrite selected" and it begins overwriting the 8000 files again. How can I turn off overwrite

On the overwrite page you would choose 'No to All', that said if you are doing this and want it automated then this is perhaps the better option:
