    editing a sound file??

I have a music file that has a loud spike in it at only 1 location. I would like
to be able to "see the file and be able to find and delete the spike.

Can someone suggest a decent sound editor program, preferably a free one
since this is the only sound file i have with a spike (so far :smile2: )?

    thanks,
    savagcl

Mean time, i'll do some searching.

Also, if you have Nero 5.5 or above, it comes with a WaveEditor that you can use to edit sound files.
