    Auxiliary Input Codec

I've been using Aux Input for a long time (registered), but it started giving me an error whilst converting:

"The CODEC required to decompress '\\Aux\Track01.aux' could not be opened."

I couldn't find any .aux codecs in Codec Central. Do I need to change some settings?

I've already reinstalled the 11.5 software.

    Re: Auxiliary Input Codec

There is no auxilary input codec.
This error message might come up if you have mistakenly tried recording from the soundcard's playback rather than the recording input.
We also had this error message be reported to occur when someone tried to record to 24 bit.
See this thread here (read it all the way through, do not try the advice about uninstalling and reinstalling-just focus on the two issues mentionned earlier).

Please keep us posted on how you make out.

    Best wishes,
    Bill

      You missed the link, xoas.
But anyway, what output type did you choose?

        Re: Auxiliary Input Codec

I had 24 bit selected. Everything worked fine when I changed it to 16 bit. Thanks for the help!! I'm still interested in seeing the thread you mentioned but didn't include. Can you please repost?

          Sorry.
          Here's the link:
Greetings, I have some flash files from which am trying to record the audio to mp3. Using auxiliary input, I get the following message " The CODEC required to decompress '\\Aux\Track01.aux' could not be opened. " Have a registered version running on my laptop. Thanks very much.

Glad you got this sorted out quickly.

          Best wishes,
          Bill
