    Can't convert files

    Hi,

I can't convert files (ape, flac) to wav as an ordinary user (domain member). If I log on as admin it does work though.

    Re: Can't convert files

why would you ever not sign on as admin?

i know dbpoweramp has to be installed from an admin account
i'm not sure how it goes for general use on limited accounts
keep playing around with it, you'll probably figure it out, good luck

        Hi xoas,
thanks for the pointer. I installed the newest version but still had to give "change" rights to the install directory. But this is not the right way!

        ciao, TommyZ

          Re: Can't convert files

Unfortunately, the limited accounts in XP are nearly useless. You have to massage the programs to get them to work. And yes, giving change rights to the /Program Files/dBpowerAMP is necessary. Sorry.
