    problem opening mp3s with album art

    Hi,

    dbPowerAmp seems to have a problem opening mp3 files with album art (included picture).
    Error message: "The file ... could not be opened"
    I have lots of mp3 files in iTunes with album art. I often convert the mp3 to ogg for my mobile phone.
    I think the problem occurs only with big pictures in the mp3.

    Anyone else with the same problem?
    Possible fix (without having to remove all the album art)?

          Yes. But a reinstall solved the problem. Sorry for the false alarm!

              Had the same problem, but reinstall did not fix it. I had to remove the album art from each file before the files could be opened and converted. I just bought a registered version of dBpowerAMP four days ago, so it is the latest version.

                  Are you sure? It seems that some people are still getting dMC r11 when they purchase dMC. Check dMC Configuration (Start --> Programs --> dBpowerAMP Music Converter --> Configuration --> dMC Configuration) for your version number.

                      Is it possible that the alternate download sites don't all have the same version of dMC ?

                          Download.com has dMC r11.5. Are there other download sites?

                              Not sure, there's a link for alternate downloads, and there are several links right from the download.com page for dBpowerAMP Music Converter. Some of the links might not be current.

                                  Akhilario did you purchase either sveta fully loaded or dCW fully loaded?
                                  In any case, could you go to dMC Configuration (Start>All Programs>dBpowerAMP Music Converter>Configuration>dBpowerAMP Music Configuration and tell us what version of dBpowerAMP Music Converter (dMC) is shown? If it does not show version 11.5 please download version 11.5 from here:
                                  http://www.dbpoweramp.com/bin/dMC-r11.5.exe


                                  Do not uninstall your current version of dMC but instead install the new version over it.
                                  If dMC Configuration does show version 11.5, then we will have to consider other options.
