mp3 batch compacting

I have some large mp3 file of 2 to 3 hours talk programs obtained thru Internet radio or podcasting. I would like some sort of batch processing capability to convert these files to a smaller format for easier storage and transferring. Will db converter do this? Any other suggestions?

If you mean break them into smaller files, no. dMC can, however, change the bitrate, channels, etc for the files. To break the files into smaller files, try Audacity: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
