Being very blond.... Lost original registered version of dMC

I have tried the program and bought it after a while. I had downloaded it to my computer, but then.... my computer crashed.....

I was able to save a lot of files by using my iPod as a back up from My Documents (since the CD player didn't work anymore so I couldn't burn any cd's).

I thought that I had saved the program too, but it seems that I have only saved the trial version that was in my files Downloads..... :(

I have a copy of my credit card statement that can prove that I really bought the program (dBpower AMP Music Converter) a few months ago. Is there a way that I can download the program again without having to buy it again?

    Thanks!

    Nah, you're not blond.

    See here

you may have entered a wrong email address as an email for the download link is automated and should arrive shortly. if it doesn't arrive then it could be an anti-spam program that your running that stopped it. if this is the case then you can use a manual link retrieval system to have the link manually sent out. but it may take up to one week. see this page http://www.dbpoweramp.com/registration/

    'FOR ALL OTHER REASONS'
or you can ask for a manual link that spoon will email you out. just use this email to do so with your order number and email address used to order http://www.dbpoweramp.com/email.htm

Your situation is probably under "For all other reasons" so try that.

When my computer crashed I was able to save my files under My Documents, but not my emails. So, I don't have the email with the receipt with the order#.

I took a look at my credit card statement but I guess I am really blond, because..... I don't know the name of the company that charged my card for this product. Is it: Cardquery.com software Internet? Because I think it was around that time that I bought the program (around April 12, 2005).

      PS: Thanks for your help!

In the e-mail, put the best date you can find for when you purchased the program, your real name, the e-mail you used and Spoon should be able to find it.

That would be the desktop application Google has been advertising. Hevn;t used it yet, kind of makes me queazy to let Google into my pc to such depths, no matter what they claim on the security issue :D

Does it search inside of e-mails? Not unless they're individually saved.

Oh, on another note, the "animated character" can die and rot. I'll take the more powerful "advanced" search anyday.

The WIndwos Search does nto work inside email. You search from inside Outlook Express for that.

Incidentally don't anybody rely on Windows Explorer search after installing SP2 - it's buggy.

I haven't seen a fix for that yet.

It searches for file names containing character strings but not within files. It will in fact search in teh file names for the characters string you entered to be found inside files, that's how buggy it is! :vmad:

I had to install Agent Ransack just so I can perform proper searches inside files.

What about Gmail? That has an integrated search function....

Right, but G-Mail can't search e-mails on your computer, neil. And most people don't use G-mail for their pop3 accounts.

Gmail can be used as pop3 - I do so - but then you're using Outlook or Outlook Express functions not those available in Gmail when used as webmail.

Gmail as webmail stays inside itself.

Google provides a desktop aplication for searching on yoru own computer. I've not used it. I do use the Google toolbar in IE (and in Firefox now to) - minus the bits supposed to memorize my input data.

Firefox has a search toolbar integrated that automatically searches Google, AltaVista, Yahoo and others without having to install third party apps. I think it's awesome.
