Codec error when converting from AAC to anything else...

    Hi Folks,

I've been trying to convert a clip from a radio station I got from streamripper. The file is an .AAC and I'd like to get it to various other formats.

I've installed (a couple of times actually):
    dMC-AAC-Encoder-CLI.exe
    dMC-AAC-Codec.exe
    dBpowerAMP-codec-mp4.exe

Whenever I right click on the .AAC file, select a final format and click "Convert >>", I get the following error:
"The CODEC required to decompress 'C:\Audio\filename.aac' could not be opened."

When I first started dMC r11, it asked me to install the AAC codec and took me to the PsyTEL codec download. After that didn't work, I went to the Codec Central and could only find the FAAD version, so installed that. Still no joy.

    Here's what I've got installed:
    Input Codecs:
AAC Decoder: Release 5 [Faad v2.1]
    mp4 Decoder

    Anyone have a fix?

    Thanks!
    Matt

What are the settings for this AAC file? Bitrate, channels, etc?
Can you run a "Test Conversion (no write)" on this file? To do this, you select "Test Conversion (no write)" as your codec.
