Error: Disk scratched and CODEC error

    hi

I ALWAYS get this message when trying to rip a CD

I never get to rip the first track of every CD I try to rip, I dunno why.

or sometimes I get a similar message saying
"Couldn't rip tracks ---- Unable to read the file. Is disk scratched??" or something like that and I get incomplete mp3 files.

The deal is that when I rip the same CD with Windows Media Player it rips the CD very fast and with no problems, but I feel that the MP3 quality that WMP creates is really bad, that's why I like DBPowerAmp

    Any help! please!!

Are you using "CD Audio Input"? If so, click Options, make sure the correct CD Drive is selected, and then click the "Advanced" button next to the drive selection and try choosing either "2000/NT Built-In (Limited)" or "Windows Built-In (Limited)" depending on your version. Also, try downloading the latest dMC beta linked to below.
