    FLAC>MP3 codec error message.

    :vmad: Help me please....

I installed the codec for FLAC>Mp3 conversion and had success with the first conversion. However, since then I keep getting an error for every new attempt stating:

"The CODEC required to decompress 'C:\Documents and Settings\Associate\Desktop\My Music\Skidrow - B-Sides Ourselves (1992)[FLAC]\01 - Psycho Therapy.flac' could not be opened."

The CODEC was installed, deleted, then reinstalled to no avail.

    Any suggestions?.....

    Thanks, Brian

    Re: FLAC>MP3 codec error message.

Are you using a trial version of dBpowerAMP Music Converter? Could it have expired (30 days from initial installation)?

I think that error actually refers to not being able to convert to mp3 - which would be the case if your mp3 encoder license were expired.

If that's not the case, then try to select "Test Conversion (no write)" as a codec in dMC and this should tell you if your FLAC codec is good or if your FLAC file is good.

      Re: FLAC>MP3 codec error message.

Try a FLAC file you have previously converted.

(it shouldn't show that message if the mp3 encoder has expired).
