I have the wma codec installed and have actually used it before. However, for some reason when i try to use it now, it's greyed out and dbpoweramp keeps saying that it's not installed. I even tried reinstalling to fix the problem but no luck... please help... Thanks!

Is everything installed to the same folder? Are you signed in as admin?
Have you installed some other programs related to audio or video which may have messed up anything?
What version of dMC do you have? -

Errr... that might be the Internet Explorer version but I'd like to know your dBpowerAMP Music Converter version. Latest version is R11 and the beta is R11.5 .
Go to dMC Configuration and see what you have.
Also unless you have Windows Xp and WMP 10, you cannot make use of the codec for wma 9.1, you'll only have wma 9.Last edited by ChristinaS; August 29, 2005, 01:26 AM.Comment

If you don't have WMP 10 installed, you cannot use the codec wma 9.1, only wma 9.Comment

You can, the dBpowerAMP 9.1 codec has WMA system files included. I don't have WMP10.Comment

Oops, sorry. I was thinking of having Windows XP which is also required in order to have the wma 9.1 code and WMP 10 - somehow I seem to recall this limitation??? :oComment

Re: WMA codec installed but dbpoweramp keeps saying it's not
You must have XP to be able to install either the WMA 9.1 System Codecs or WMP 10. With an older verison of Windows (98, ME, 2k, etc.) you can only install up to WMP 9 and therefore the WMA 9 System CodecsComment

Re: WMA codec installed but dbpoweramp keeps saying it's not
Phew! I thought I was losing it completely :D
See, I'm the kind who always has the latest version of whatever installed (as long as it works, that is), so I subconsciously assume that anybody who has XP will have WMP 10 as well - thus wma 9.1 . I couldn't make use of it before, when I was running W 2K - now I'm on XP and the second thing I installed right after all the patches and fixes was WMP10 :DComment
