I have the RealAudio Encoder Codec (Release 3) installed, but when I try to convert a file (.wav or .mp3) to RealAudio I get the error (after a few seconds) "MusicConverter.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." I have no problem converting the same file to .mp3 or .wma, or converting .ra files (using DirectShow) to other formats. Any ideas?

Re: Problem converting to .ra
Correction.
I did get a success using Surestream only to run into successive failues.
I since found this thread: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=6183.
You might especially find posts 10, 11, and 13 helpful.
It looks like this codec has a problem with Windows XP SP2.
Best wishes,

Re: Problem converting to .ra
Right. Conversions to Real Media of any kind either single rate or surestream (from a standard pcm wav) don't work under Windows XP & SP2. It may be just because I now have Real ALternative instead of Real Player installed, I don't know yet.
In the past I had trouble having both real Player and Real Alternative installed so this time I kept just Real Alternative.
I do not have Real Producer installed at this time either.Comment
