DMC audio to cd imput problem

Can anyone help? This feature worked at one time, but
now it's keeps telling me to insert an audio cd. I've tried everything
from shutting down zone alarm and virus scan. It must not be seeing
a drive. From the options in DMC (I have retrieve info when cd is inserted,
where is it says use cd drive it has no choices. This must be the problem,
    how can it be fixed?

Any help would be great for this new user

    Thanks!!

    Go to dMC Audio Input.
    Click on Options.
Click on CD Drive and a menu will open up to allow you to choose your drive.
If this does not occur, please let us know.

    Best wishes,
    Bill

The big button for Options in dMC Audio CD Input should offer you the option of selecting a diferent CD drive if you have more than one.

The little down arrow next to the big Options button also allows specifying the CD comunication method which would work for that drive. This same options can be attained directly in dMC Audio CD Input Configuration.

For any of this to work you have to be logged into you pc using an administrator account.

Is your account an administrator account or a limited account? Try changing the CD Communication to "2000/NT Built-In (Limited)" or "Windows Internal (Limited)" depending on your version.

Thanks, when I pull up the CD drive menu from the audio options there are
no drives, and no options to put one in. I'am using an older version of DMCpowerAMP and as i stated it did work at one time.

          Thanks again

          Chuck

I'm using windows 98 second edition, and I'm not sure how or if
I can log in as an adminstrator.
This program has worked well for a long time, quess it's time
              to find and another one.

Thanks to all for your input!
