    DirectShow codec problem

    Hi

I have installed the DirectShow Real Audio codec.

In my dMC Configuration it shows up with .rm and .ram in the Direct Show Decoder(Installed Input Codecs[Read]).

When i try to convert a rm or ram file to mp3 i recieve the following error message

"The CODEC required to decompress D:\test.rm could not be opened.
DirectShow filter for '.rm' not installed, or Audio File Corrupt."

The file plays fine in Real Player version 10.0

    I am using Windows XP

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Did you install the File Splitter? application that came with Real Alternative?

Can you play the files in WMP. This will prove that the Direct Show filters are installed properly? Or the Media Player classic (comes with Real Alternative) to will check that Real Alternative is installed properly?

BTW How big are these ra and ram files?
