ripping speed

I ripped about 40cd's on to my new hard drive with your program it was fast as you claim, but it seemed to get slower after each cd. I have a 48x cdrw which I used for the ripping, I have 512mb ram, athlonXP, windowsXPpro. I ripped one cd after another without closing the program and I was probably surfing at the same time. Does anyone know why this happenes?

yes I am, and I use lame

Perhaps something is not being released, it is a good idea to close Audio CD Input and restart it once in a while.
