    Cropping Music Files

hey db people i have one problem which i think many people have which is that when u listen to a music file u have to listen to all of it but sumtimes i feel like taking the boring parts out so does anyone know a programme which will let me takes parts of a music file out and then listen to only the remaining file.

for example i would want to take out swearing before young children hear it or large boring parts

    THANKS

      Re: Cropping Music Files

If the parts you want to remove are at either or both of the two ends of the file, dMC PowerPack has a DSP effect that can trim specified length of time from either or both end of the file as it converts. So you can just convert to the same file type and apply that DSP effect and the resulting file is thus trimmed. If you convert lossy to lossy however there may be a bit of quality loss. It's better to work with the original wav or other lossless format if you have it.
