    RMJ to MP3

Yeah i read the previous thread on this.. but no luck.. I installed the REal codec from here.. and downloaded the real alternative application with player and codecs. I renamed the files from RMJ to RA and the player plays them fine, but when i right lick i still dont have the option to convert. I tried manually opening the RA files from DMC, but it doesn't recongnize them. so im stuck, i did unistall and reinstall the real codec for DMC.. but no luck. PLEASE HELP, I have like 50 albums that i got that are all in RMJ format, there were transferred from another PC.

You don't even get the option to convert even when rigth clicking on a file with the .ra extension?

Do you get that option with other file types?

Look in dMC Configuration and make sure the real codec is indeed instaled.

[.ra .rpm .rm .ram .rmvb] I have put different files in each of those formats, they are all automatacially switched from an unassociated file to the real alternative player and play just fine. But the convert menu doesnt appear on any of them.... the one thing i didnt do like others said was use a rename extension program, but i dont see why that would make a difference, could it be the real player isnt working like an offical REAL product ? and i check for the installed codecs and it says REal Audio Release 3 [.rm] .. ? so its there just something isnt making it work right...

Wait. Did you install the Real Audio Decoder? The DirectShow Real-Alternative decoder replaces this.
As for renaming the files, it won't change the fact that the files can or cannot be encoded. Just make sure if you rename .ram files that they are actually audio files and not meta-files pointing to the audio.
