I am trying to use the built-in Lame encoder (DLL) in v11 and I have tried 11.5b2 and the advanced settings won't work at all. It always encodes to 128 CBR no matter what I do. I even reinstalled with no luck. Any ideas? FYI, I have a registered version if that makes a difference.

Re: MP3 Lame Settings Won't Save
Do you have LAME using a preset?
Did you uninstall as mentioned here: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=6828 ? -
Re: MP3 Lame Settings Won't Save
Open Muisc Converter and click on a file to convert to mp3.
Select the Lame codec. Click on the button that says Advanced Options.
What does it read by Preset-Quality?
A setting here may be over-riding the setting you want, and the likely culprit is a Preset.
For more information, try start>All Programs>dBpowerAMP Music Converter>Help>Codecs>MP3 (Lame) Codec Help.

Re: MP3 Lame Settings Won't Save
Well, I got it working my modding the registry keys. I was trying to select Alt Standard Fast, or any preset for that matter and it never changed on the first dialog when I hit ok. I just went to another PC I had and got the reg settings and manually changed them and now it works fine. Thanks for the quick replies.Comment
