Problems installing .ac3 DirectShow codec

Hello everybody,

I have some problem installing the dBpowerAMP .ac3 codec. When I open the Codec Central .ac3 page, it says I have to install the DirectShow Decoder. I have done that. I have also installed the ac3 filter program, made by Vigovsky Alexander. If I right-click on an ac3-file, it does say "convert to", but if I try to convert the file to mp3, there jumps a message into my screen, saying:

"The CODEC required to decompress 'C:\Documents and Settings\Jeroen\Bureaublad\Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess Dolby Digital.ac3' could not be opened.
DirectShow filter for '.ac3' not installed, or Audio File Corrupt."

I think I haven't installed the codec properly, but what did I do wrong?

I don't know what to do! :( Please help me. Thanks in advance!

The .ac3 program you installed, does it have DirectShow Filters for ac3 in it? Also, did you add ".ac3" to the Configure DirectShow file?
Lastly, does .ac3 show up in dMC Configuration (Start --> Programs --> dBpowerAMP Music Converter --> Configuration --> dMC Configuration) under Decoders?
