I'm a long time db user and I've never had any problems until now...Recently I noticed some distortion while decoding to wav...the encoding is fine however when I convert to wav, halfway through the track there is some picking and distortion...Have 4 pc's with DB...only one is giving me the problem...Thank You...

Make sure you aren't using any PowerPack DSP effects on the file. Does it do with with just one file or is it more than one?

Thanks for the reply LtData...It does it periodically (out of 30 files, it might do it on 10 and the rest are fine...however if you have quite a bit of files to decode, going through them to check them all, is just a little time consuming...Another note...the db that I'm having problems with, has the powerpack installed, the others do not and they work fine...I checked the effects and they are disabled... Mabye try the lastest dMC beta and see if that fixes it?

Does it consistently do it with certain files or is it just random? (i.e. if you convert a batch of 30 files, does it pick the same 10 every time or a different 10)

Now that I've checked, it's doing it at random, but there is one file that it does it repeatedly....however, with other decoding programs, that file is fine. The most recent DB that I downloaded (the one that is giving me problems...I updated it to Powerpack) was on 12-04-05. Is there a most recent one...and if there is how do I go about updating..I don't see any update links on the website.... Thanks Again, Jes

Your version number is stored in dMC Configruation (Start --> Programs --> dBpowerAMP Music Converter --> Configuration --> dMC Configuration). The latest version of the dMC beta is r11.5 RC1 (release candidate 1).
