    Newbie Alert!!!!

[SIZE=2][COLOR=Blue]I have lots mp3's that don't have correct ID tag (before I discoverd CD Input - brill b.t.w.) - All three of my CD/mp3 players use ID tag

Is there any method of importing the Filename (Artist - Trackname) as ID tag(without typing them all in manually)?

Nice Site - I'll look forward to harrassing you more often

    Re: Newbie Alert!!!!

Installed the add-in "tag from filename" but doesn't appear to work

    Reinstalled it
    Restarted
    reinstalled Poweramp v 11
    Reinstalled add-in
    Restarted

    No-Joy

Search the board and found same issues - V11 doesn't recognise this add-in at all

Anyone got this to work at all (maybe on earlier version)?

Do you still have the PowerPack? And did you try the latest dMC beta?

I have V11 (latest official release as I know) includes Powerpack (still installed)

I try a later beta version (assuming the beta will still have powerpack incl) - thanx

The beta does still have the PowerPack included, yes.
Check dMC Configuration (Start --> Programs --> dBpowerAMP Music Converter --> Configuration --> dMC Configuration) and see if your PowerPack trial has expired yet.

            Uninstalled V11

Installed v11.1Rc1 (still lists "tag from filename" as installed), reboot, no joy

Reinstalled "tag from filename", Reboot, nojoy

Powerpack still listed as 30 days left (only just installed it)

I dont think it's going to work - Thanx anyway

You installed [Tag from Filename] then you right click on files >> Convert To >> [Tag From Filename]?

also make sure you installed it to the same place as dmc.

                Re: Newbie Alert!!!!

I've been using Right Click > Convert all along (i found out on searching the board)

but there's no "Tag from Filename" appear (just std screen)

all indicators are that it is installed properly, the dll is in the right place (i've even copied it to the main folder) - it doesn't crash out or anything, it just doesn't make any difference

I'm on Windows Xp Pro (Sp1), maybe it's just not compatable

No, it works on XP SP1 or SP2.
When you select "Convert To", do you then select "Tag From Filename" as the codec?

                    Re: Newbie Alert!!!!

You download Tag from filename from Codec Central (bottom of the page, special codecs), as you would a codec and you use it just as you would use any other codec, through Convert to.

maybe i'm not doing it right

                      i right-click > choose Convert To

this opens the std dbpower amp screen

i'm assuming there should be an additional choice (checkbox) on the screen - there isn't - it's just a std screen
