Converting SHN and FLAC much slower in ver.11 than ver.10

Ever since I have "upgraded" to version 11 my coversion speeds from SHN to MP3 and FLAC to MP3 have gone from a 3 to 5x real time encoding to below 1, sometimes 1.3 and sometimes 0.3. Why is this? nothing on my system has changed,only the new version of Db.

Perhaps the mp3 lame settings are different (some of the alt presets are very slow).
