    dMC Powerpack and Sveta

Hey I have had PowerPack for a long time,
and now I have bought Sveta as well.
Will I still need to install the old powerpack first to get all features?

It seems my normal powerpack is release 2 and the new I got by buying Sveta is release 3!

If you have had the powerpack before Sept. or so last year, you also had Sveta. Installing Sveta gives you powerpack release 3 for the time being. Sveta will eventually get its own installer.

So I have wasted $28.20? That sucks!
But why is the PowerPack newer with Sveta,
I have recently downloaded a new version of PowerPack
why was that not Release 2?

Currently there is a loophole, that will close as soon as a WMD sveta driver is written, give it 4 weeks and you will not be saying wasted

The Power Pack is now part of dMC R11, that is the latest version.

Well maybe wasted is a strong word! I really like dMC and Sveta!
I have a Philips HDD120 and the normal program sucks!

The Power Pack is now part of dMC R11, that is the latest version.
What do you mean is it included when downloading dMC R11?
Also if I ever need to redownload PowerPack how would I do that?

When you download dMC r11, you get the PowerPack installed with it. You cannot redownload the PowerPack, as it is always there. However, if the PowerPack expires, you cannot use the special PowerPack features, including encoding to mp3.

When you buy the registered version of dMC you also get the PowerPAck which also contains the liceense for using mp3 encoders. The Powerpack has a bunch of extra features for various dBpowerAMP components in general.

When you first download dMC without buying it, you have a 30-day trial version of PowerPack including the mp3 license. After 30 days, the powerpack and mp3 license expire. dMC itself doesn't exprie, that is free. It allows you to convert anyhting to anything (see al the codecs available at Codec Central), except you cannot convert TO mp3 unless you have the registered version. Also the extended features from Powerpack will not longer be accessible.

So when you have installed powerpack-registered once
when ever you update dMC it will just be updated?

                  Is that what you mean?

Yes, the registration is valid for life. You install all future releases, upgrades, etc. on top. Uninstalling removes the registration so you have make sure you keep all your details of registration handy in case you change computer, hard drive or reformat and have to reinstall from scratch.

You can also get a new registered download by providing your order number here: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/registration/ . This is useful incase you need to install on a different computer but do not want to go through installing dMC r10, the powerpack, and then dMC r11. A new registered download will give you a new registered dMC r11 download.

That site doesn't work for me!
IE & Firefox shows an empty page
Opera says: Problem encountered while decoding data. Possibly due to corrupted data.

Will use the e-mail at the bottom!
