    Compilation CDs Please Help

    Hi,

I am using dBpowerAMP. When I rip a Compilation CD, instead of putting all of the tracks into one folder, it will creat each folder for each artist.

I only ripped about 20 cds so far and stop until I get some help.

    Thanks!!

Open dMC Audio CD Input > Options > File creation > Set and pick the proper naming convention. If there's a back slash there, it will make a folder at that level with the items selected. Repalce any backslashes you ahve with hyphens and it will all stay in one folder, the one where you dsignated the output to go to.

Right now, my folder options looks like this:

      [artist]\[album]\[track number xx] - [track]

What should I set it to for Compilation CDs?

      Thanks!

In the previous version of dMC Audio CD Input, it would had created a Various Artists folder and create sub folders with the compilation CD album with the tracks in it.

How can I recreate the same thing with the current DMC?

        Thanks.

Maybe just the starting defaults may be changed/ I don't know.

Well, I thought you didn't want a separate folder.

Whatever you put in teh destiantion, thsi is the base from whic it stars. It will create whwtever fodler you need based ont how you set the file creation.

If the artists name read reads "varioous artists" at the top of dMC Audio CD Input, then this is what gets into the file name (or as a fodler, depending what you want).

Or you can put it yourself in that naming convention: e.g.
Various Artists\[album]\[track number xx] - [track]
The whole sequence is editable in any case.
