Auxillary input says Dbpower amp is not installed when it is

I am having trouble with dbpower amp music convertor.
After downloading a registered copy, and installing I got a message
“” error whilst running E;\dbpoweramp\help\dmc\index.html.’’ I also got the message
“”registered dbpower amp music convertor has installed. Verify the registration status by looking in dmc configuration””
Now when I try to record this happens
I open dMc auxillary input and go options >output to>input source etc but when I click ‘Record’ this message comes up’Dbpower amp is not installed”

I checked in Programmes and Add/Remove programms and it is definitely there.
I also used it to convert another wav file I had .
Why is it saying it is not installed when using ‘ dMc auxillary input ‘ and will not work.
Help please

Run dMC Configuration and see if it will run. If it does, what does it say?
Are you using Release 11?
Also, edit your post and remove your order number.

To ChristinsS I have hard drive partitioned and most programms are in "E" drive . Other programms run ok here.

To Ltdata cheched dmc configuration as you requested and it says Release 11 ,, registered ' Yes ' plus other lists of installed compression codes Installed input code etc
i cannot see that there are any changes I can make here???
I used Auxillary Input for months last year . then it went bad .I uninstalled and re installed a new down loaded one > stilll would not work . Finally did a restore to factory defaults and it worked fine till I installed the registered version of music convertor.???

Re: Auxillary input says Dbpower amp is not installed when it is

OK, fine, as long as you always remember to install all of dMC components and all codecs to that same exact location on your E drive. Lots of people forget and install in various other places and then things don't work.

In your earlier post you either typed the error message wrong or somehow that is part of the problem:
E;\dbpoweramp\help\dmc\index.html
That ; ought to be a :

I fail to see why you should have an error simply consulting the help file which is simply a web page. If it doesn't work, ok, it doesn't work, the messaeg would be "file not found" or somethign like this, but it's not a case for an error like that, as if it were a program error.

Are you logged in as adminsitrator when you installed everything? when you are using it? Rebooted after the installation?

Try to install everyhting again to c:\Program Files\Illustrate - never mind your other partition. Maybe there is one small part of dMC Auxiliary Input that is looking for something in c:\Pogram File and doesn't find it. Maybe that's a bug.

You should uninstall before reinstalling though. Keep your registration details handy.

and when all else fails:

A. If uninstalling does not help, then follow these instructions to make a totally clean start:

*** if you are using dBpowerAMP Audio Player, backup your music collection first ***

1)Select 'Start' >> 'Run' and type:

regedit.exe

Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Illustrate
delete the Key (folder) 'dBpowerAMP'.

2) Using Windows Explorer, open C:\Program Files\Illustrate and Delete the folder 'dBpowerAMP'

3) Reinstall, one by one dMC and Codecs.

4) Reinstall, dbpoweramp music player

I did that and it did work and recorded. However when I tried to play back in MP direct cut, the running amplitude graph( hope you know what I mean) did not appear. Is difficult to edit out without that. Then did a clean reinstall as per Razgo suggestion and now all is fine. Thank you for taking the time and effort to try and help, really appreciat it
