Real Media DirectShow filter without Real alternative

I have discovered that it is possible to obtain the Real Media Splitter without having to download Real Alternative. Just pop along to http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ckage_id=87719

There are also a few DirectShow filters available at http://www.radlight.org/ however with the codecs available on codec central they are really only of use to non dBpowerAMP software. They have also produced an interesting utility called the DirectShow Filter Manager.

Could it be the Real Audio drivers are needed but you had them already?

You probably do have to have either RealPlayer or RealAlternative already installed in order to use that DirectShow codec.
