    Which product to buy?

My old forum account is gone. :( I haven't been here in at least a year.

OK so I need to pay now. But, I now have an Ipod Shuffle. The Itunes software is allright. One thing about it that bugs me is if I have MP3's on a external drive and start Itunes w/o that drive being on it will actually erase all the music on my Shuffle. There's a couple of other annoying things as well.... Other than that I'm happy with Itunes. I definetly like it's feature of converting MP3's down to 128Kb/s when loading them into the Shuffle, but I wish I could choose from other sizes (like 192Kb/s).

Is the Apple Ipod Shuffle supported? I don't see it specifically listed. All I see are generations 1-3 and the mini listed.

Anyway, should I go for the $14 standard pack or the $29 Fully Loaded Pack?
Is there anything I would get out of that I wouldn't out of Itunes?

The biggest thing I would want in a portable player loader would be these features:
-Don't erase music listings if the software can't find them (this minute)
-Convert MP3's on the fly as they get loaded to the player (different kb/s)
    -Randomly Load a player
-Erase (all/some) as a player is loaded
-Ability to just dump everysong I have into a list and give different songs flags (like a "favorite song" flag). Then be able to choose what get's loaded into the player. Like: "Load the player randomly with only songs that are flagged "favorite".

If those features are there or something that would be worked on I'd pay for the product for sure.

I need to try the demo but it's time to leave for work... thanks.

You can convert mp3s on the fly as you load them, but right now the Shuffle is not supported. It will be soon, but Spoon hasn't written the Sveta drivers for it yet.
And I don't know about the radomly loading the player part. And Sveta shouldn't erase music listings if the software can't find them.
Also, note that Sveta itself cost $24, but buying it with the PowerPack is $30.

Shuffle package is currently being added.

      >-Don't erase music listings if the software can't find them (this minute)

      Can do.

      >-Convert MP3's on the fly as they get loaded to the player (different kb/s)

      No problem with smart conversions

      >-Randomly Load a player

      Yes through dbpoweramp audio player

      >-Ability to just dump everysong I have into a list and give different songs flags (like a "favorite song" flag). Then be able to choose what get's loaded into the player. Like: "Load the player randomly with only songs that are flagged "favorite".

      Yes through dbpoweramp audio player

        Spoon,
I've loaded the current beta from the forum and the ipod drivers there but it doesn't recognize my ipod Shuffle. Do I need something special or is the driver still under development?

        Thanks,

The shuffle driver is still being developed.

Edit: err, never mind. Spoon just added it.
