HDD-060 problem

Hi, I just bought a new HDD-060 today and started transefering some mp3s to it using sveta. After a while it came up with an error saying something about it not being able to send it to the device and now i cant transfer any files to it using any program, even DMM and windows explorer. Any ideas what could be wrong? thx in advance
p.s. ive tried using DMM on another computer and still get the same problem

I put HDD-060 in the Google search bar - lots of entries- but here is an extract from a review of the product which may be relevant:

" The software for copying tracks isn't much cop, either. It's a Java app and is a little fiddly to use. There's no escaping from it either, as the HDD060 will only play tracks copied using this software. The stated reason is maintaining digital media rights "

Don't know if that helps, but it could be an explanation.

Thx for ur reply. I can't write to the device at all even when using it as a storage device in windows explorer. DMM tells me all the tracks on the device and that i have 51% free space on it so it can read off it fine

Try formatting it in dmm (backup the audio files first) then update firmware to latest.

I would do that but im just scared that i wont be able to put the firmware back on, seeing as it wont let me write to it

DMM shouldn't have a problem (AFAIK the firmware is not on the hard disk)

Yay! It works fine now, except when it gets about 50% full and then the error returns...

and you cannot copy ordinary files to it when it is 50% full? (with widows explorer)

It's possible that the digital rights thingy said in petriburg's post can be disabled through regedit.
