I am trying to convert 24 bit 96k Flac files to 24 bit 96k Wav files. While converting, all apears to be normal, then when I go to play back the file, all I get is static. I saw a few other threads mentioning problems with 24/96 flac files, but they did not help me solve my problem. Does anyone know how to fix this? I would greatly appreciate it.

No, but I just enabled it. Retried conversion with same static results. Anything else?Comment

Thanks for everyone's quick responses. I got the files from etree, so they are good (otherwise no one would continue seeding them). I don't like to have a bunch of media players cluttering up my computer, so I only tried WMP & WMP classic. I also opened the file in Cubase, and it was just static. The image of the file looked like static as well. Yes, I have the latest Flac codec.Originally posted by LtDataWhere did this 24-bit FLAC file come from? Will it play in any media players? Do you have the newest dMC FLAC Codec?
I wish I could get these files to convert correctly :vmad: .Comment

Mabye try converting one of your current working files in another format, such as WAV or mp3, to FLAC using dMC and see if these players will play this FLAC file correctly. If they will, your original file is probably corrupt in some way.Comment
