At the bottom of Codec Central under "Utility Codecs". http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central.htm

        Re: File RE-nameing possible?

ok maybe someone can shed some light on my current discovery... i have been ripping/converting music from Wav or CD to WMA lossless... I have been having problems with the Converter applying the tag information even when ripping "store bought" cds. The artist and track name appear, and the file name is even created using the correct tag attributes but when I use the file in windows media player it shows the artist as "particle". This is interesting because the first file I converted using this product was a Particle file and now it always has Atrist = "Particle" as the Default entry.

Also when i view the files in Windows explorer those files and folders ripped using DB do not show the album art as the folder tumbnail. Any suggestions are to why this is happenning?

Direct me to a link if I need to do some reading.

          dMC doesn't support folder art.
As for the artist setting, what WMA codec are you using? WMA 9 or WMA 9.1?

Edit: also, are you applying a DSP effect that could change the tag?

no dsp effects (not even sure that to do with that stuff)... and I am using version 9.1 of Win .wma lossless

There is a DSP effect 'Set tag value' which would do that unwanted effect.
