Converting WMA to WAV?

Hey spoon, I was wondering something... Well first I need to extract the audio from an AVI file, so I changed the avi file to wma file, so poweramp, would let me convert it to a wav file. Ok so I opened the file up and then I click all the settings I want, and specify my output folder, and then I click convert, and then it starts out and I can see it where it is at 0 percent, but then it just closes after a second after hitting convert....

Doesnt give me no error message or anything, it just closes without converting the file....Do you know why or what is causing this? Or what I might be able to do to fix it? Thanks,

Changing an extension of a file does not change its type - dMC is not able to convert avi files.
