riped mp3 files empty/no sound in WXP -help

    hello,
I ripped several music cds form audio format into mp3 with no problem. Once I play them with dbpoweramp, it appears that some mp3 files have no sound at all, although they appear with normal size (not equal to 0 KB) in windows explorer. They wont play either in Windows mediaplayer and show a flat sound curve (0 db) in sound analysing programms. What is the problem ? Is there is a problem with the ripping or does WindowsXP corrupt these files ???
On request I can send you an exemple of these files it is of any use.
    Please help me, thanks,
    Cheers,
    Michael frome Geneva, Switzerland

Some of the tracks may have been copyprotected and in that case the ripping failed.

Try to go and rip just such a track. Try to rip it to wav first. See what you get if anything.

What is the filesize of the output mp3s?

If you need to upload them, and you don't want to waste your precious web space, (assuming that you even have webspace), upload them on Kytec, a free (YES, free, no nags, no spyware, no adware, no trojans, no trash, blah blah blah) file hosting website.
