    VBR not working

I am attempting to rip OGG to MP3 (112/160 VBR). Instead it is ripping with ABR. The ABR files add a significant amount of disk usage and would like to use VBR instead. I made sure VBR was selected and tried again. Everytime it is coming out as as ABR MP3.

Any ideas on how to correct this?

Make sure you dont have a preset selected on the advanced page, also after compressing retry and look at the compression settings - did they stick on vbr from the last time?

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling? Try Spoon's advice first, though.

ok, figured it out, apparently the slider needs to be adjusted to change the output of the file.
