Can't set level for auxiliary input

I have used dBpowerAMP with the Auxiliary Input option to convert many cassettes to MP4 with no problem other than I (thought) I had to have the Line Input slider all the way up in Windows volume control.

Just now, I tried converting a cassette which is recorded at a high level and much to my surprise, I find that the Line Input slider has no effect! Is there a way to set the input level?

Make sure you have the latest one - on the Options page for Aux Input there is a button that now launches windows volume control.
