not writing to the correct file

i just registered as a purchased user and now every time i try to rip to a certain folder, i have all my mp3s categorized and labeled by artist and album, i have to go back and change the dir. 5 or 6 times before it takes. is this something i will just have to live with or am i stupid and not seeing a setting or something

    thanks,

Are you using dMC Audio CD Input ? Click on the big Options button and look at the folder where the ripped files are supposed to go to. Click on the Set button and use the browser to find the proper one. It should hold.

Re: not writing to the correct file

Are you using the latest version of dMC ? I think there was a little problem around that area in the first issue of the current version that got fixed subsequently. Not sure if it's part of the regular download yet.

If not, it would be in the beta section.

Yes, it was a bug in Release 11. The fix is in the Beta Forum in Release 11.1 Beta 2.

out of curosity, did beta ONE fix this issue? I can't find the revision history anywhere....or maybe it's my lack of common sense again. :(

The beta for Release 11.1 will eventually replace Release 11 after all the bugs and kinks are worked out of Release 11.

Working pretty hard on that - there are still 12 things I need to do - then the beta version needs extensive testing (the music converter will pickup and display an error if an input codec missbehaves, there might be one or two codecs that do this and need updating - proabbly only for 24 bit decoding).
