wma (and others) to mp3

Hi all,
i just downloaded the 9-thingie for XP to enable wma to mp3 conversion. I rebooted the system and the files i want to convert still don't show in the dMC File Selector. My files (in wma) might be ripped from a CD, i'm not sure. Mp3 show in File Selector.
Anyone with a hint?

Does the wma codec appear in the dMC Configuration list and/or an available convert to option?

It's been a while since I used the File Selector program but I do remember that you can tell it which audio files to look for. Maybe you need to select the wma files.
