Can't get Music Converter to work

Hi from this new member, hoping that someone can help. I've previously had dbpowerAMP Music Converter installed on my old pc last year and it worked faultlessly. I mainly used it to convert a batch of MP3 files, all with different bit rates, to one bit rate (usually 128) and also normalise the files in the batch. I've now greatly updated the pc and have downloaded what I assume is a newer version of Music Converter than the one that I used before. When I come to use it to convert a batch of files as I have done before it comes up with "Power Pack & MP3 Encoding License trial expired" and I'm not able to convert the files as I have done previously. As far as I can see there should be an MP3 encoder with Music Converter but it doesn't work for me as it did before. Am I doing something wrong or do I now have to pay for a license to use Music Converter. Hoping someone give me some guidance on this. Thanks.

Errr.... yes, that's the idea in a nutshell. The use of any mp3 encoder codecs is now subject to patent royalties required by Thompson. Even though you have the codec, dBpowerAMp can only make use of it through the registered version of the PowerPack. Initially the PowerPack is free for a limited period fo time (30 days) which in your case must have expired.

Registration of the PowerPack is a one-time fee, and it remains in effect through all subsequent upgrades to dMC or PowerPack. Just hang on to your proof of registration in case you change computers or reformat you hd :D

Christina, Many thanks for the prompt reply. Looks like I'll have to register and pay for the license. I really like dbpowerAMP so it'll be worth it, especially when it's only a one off payment. Cheers.
