    Error w/ mp4 - mp3 conversion

I hope this isn't a repost-- I searched the forum and didn't find an answer to my question.

I am trying to convert purchased itunes music so I can use my non-ipod mp3 player. I used hymn to convert the files and downloaded dbpoweramp and the mp4 codec, but whenever I start a conversion, I get a system error message that "MusicConverter.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close". I deinstalled and reinstalled both the app and the codec, but the problem still occurs. I am on xp home w/ sp2.

    Thanks

Try playing the mp4 file in something else (such as Winamp), I think it is not a propper mp4 file.

Have you tried using the latest version of JHymn? I don't think the last version of Hymn strips out the new DRM on the iTunes Music Store correctly.
