ID Tags...Windows Tags...dBPower Tags...oh the Horror

Ok, I have read enough forum questions to figure out that Windows XP doesn't use APE tags and that I should set the tags to ID3v2 and ID3v1 (right?)

Then...Advanced editing in the Summary tab on the files properties will be editing IDv2 tags (right?)

Sooo...the question begs: Does it make any difference whether or not I edit tags with the dBpowerAMP tag editor or make the changes in the XP advanced summary tab? (I prefer using the dB one) More to the point, will the tags get updated the same in both "editors" and give identical info...or is this all the same info anyways? (change one..they both change?)

Just a tad confused....
