Looks like a Monkeys Audio file. Just download the necessary codecs from Codec Central.

Yes, the bc bit is a puzzle. Let us know if you solve it. I searched but could not finf anything. Can you change the extention to simply .ape and see if that works?

yea that works, thanks, also errors were created due lack space on disk
