    dbpoweramp encoder very SLOW!

    my version v11

I encode audio files to mp3 files (192 kbps - Very High - Volume Normalize) but the process is really slow compare to other encoder using lame 3.96.1 !!!!

is it due to the new release v11 ??? is there a fix?

    MY SYSTEM:
    athlon xp 1800+
    512 Mo ram
    80 GO hard disk

Probably what is slowing it down is the Volume Normalize. Does it go faster if you turn this option off?

Make sure your priority of conversion is below normal. This will actually make it go faster.

Hm........I've had the same problem too. Setting the preset to "Very High" and CPU priority set to Below Normal makes the conversion very slow. Besides, do the Presets even do anything? The audio sounds pretty much the same when I don't have a preset and encoding to 320 kbits, compared to preset "Very High" , bitrate at 320 kbits as well.

Does "Very High" actually make the audio sound better?
