Novice asking a simple question?

Hello everybody,

My objective is to record tracks from Audio Tape/LP onto CD playing on Hi-Fi and car stereo.

What software/hardware do i need?

I am running on Microsoft Windows XP Professional.

Any help will be appreciated.
