sound card problem (?)

Hi, I think the software is awesome, and its amazing that it's free. I'm having a little problem with my sound card, though: no sound comes out of my speakers (which work fine with another computer). Luckily, the microphone is working. Any ideas? Thanks.

You've likely turned off the main volume for playback.

Right-Click the volume icon in the taskbar >Open Volume Controls . Yuo'll be seeing the Master volume with a nukber of audio sources listed. The microphone should be muted and all others should not be. You have volume sliders for all the sources, move them up.

While you are at it, you could click on Options > Properties and do first Playback options. You get a list of possibel inout sources, some may not be enabled. Select them all, they are bound to come in handy at some point.
