Snoopa around that same folder, Versions. SOme info is right there, then you may have 2 more subfolders tehre: Compression and Inut. Check those out too. At least this is what I have on my system.

But normally dMC Configuration will indicate just about all that in its top window.

Thanks for your reply, but I can't find the version information in any of the mentioned places. Particularly I'm looking for version information for the Real codec. Your help is appreciated.

            Re: Version Information

Did you install that codec from Codec Central? Also Real Player or similar?

For instance I have under Encoding codecs (Write): Real Media release 3 (.rm)
For decoding codecs I have: Real Media (.ra,.rm, .ram)

At Codec Central the decoder codec is listed as being version beta r3a.

Yes, I installed the codec from Codec Central, but I want to know whether I installed version beta r2a or r3a.

Try running the dMC Cinfiguration program.

There are 2 Real media codecs at Codec central : encoding codec and decoding codec. You need both plus Real Player.

At Codec Central it clearly states that the real decoder is versio r3a beta. You can confrim what you downloaded by going to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and checking what you have installed. You should see an R3 after one of the Real codecs.
