What program created the file? It must be compressed wav of sorts.

Can you do a test conversion (no write)? probably not.

It may have the wrong file extension, ACM looks familiar from something else.

You should be able to play that ACM .wav file in Windows Media Player. Then you can probably burn it to audio cd and rip the cd after that.

Don't know if thsi could help: rename the ACM .wav file to .wma and try to convert it that way. It may just work. Make sure you install all the WMA codecs from Codec Central and Windows Media Player is installed.

No, if the ACM is missing then dBpowerAMP or WMP cannot play it. You need to find what created the wave file.

But the site(this site) says you don't have to dll evey codec because it slows down your converting :s

You download the codecs you need to work with. Just don't download codecs for types you've never even heard of just ebcause they're there.

To manage to have .wma work you must download several things. It's not a question of getting every codec, just what's normally grouped together for one type.

But I'm not sure this is really what you need here. How big is this file anyway?
