Whenever I try to convert a mp3 file to .ogg having stereo channel, 64kbps, vbr and 16000Hz it does so but as my nokia 3660 doesn't support stereo, when i try to convert it to mono channel it gives the error - 'The CODEC required to compress 'D:\Downloads\Mann_Ki_Lagan_PAAP.ogg.TEMP.ogg' could not be opened.'

what should be the settings to get the smallest size for an ogg file for nokia 3660?

can i also convert .rm file to .ogg with the .ra converter provided on the codec-central.

Try to convert step-wise.

First from mp3 to stereo PCM wav (uncompressed), then from stereo wav to mono, then to a lower the frequency mono wav, then from this mono wav to ogg of whatever specs you need.

You may be able to shortcut some steps, but it is usually a problem to change all the settings at the same time, especially the bit & frequency setting together.
